TRAILER
This story takes place in and around the town of Abbadon located in Southern California 1877. Salvatore, a poker player and knife maker who has been living there for several months (originally from Boston) kills a man who is upset that he has lost money to him gambling. He tries to shoot Salvatore who’s faster with his knife then he is with his gun. Two witnesses vouch for Salvatore (self defense killing) so he is free to go. One of the witnesses, an aspiring politician, Banech convinces Salvatore to go to the more outskirts of the city to play poker
and even sells him a gold claim. The area seems perfect for the gambler, plenty of rich farmers and prospectors.
Salvatore dreams of owning the Saloon he plays poker at, but alas cannot afford it. As time goes on we find out that not only are prospectors being robbed in the outback but when the saloon is not full of customers beware of the employees for if you have gold you’re a dead man. Salvatore survives
several attempts on his life all the while still dreaming of owning the saloon.
The railroad is branching towards Abbadon, Banech sees that by backing Salvatore in a high stake poker game with the owner’s saloon and land on the line he can become the biggest land owner in the area and eventually rise to power in the community and Salvatore can finally own a business of his own. The game is arranged and the stakes are going to be for Salvatore, All In!
